One of the classic "Wardman" row-houses, 1362 Otis Place is wider than many of its counterparts, which allowed our architects to create two spacious units (1600+ square feet) while preserving the original facade of the building. By implementing "green" building standard, 1362 Otis Place offers contemporary and environmentally-friendly living in a traditional Washington row.
Each flat is smartly designed with two bedrooms and two bathrooms on one level, and the living room, dining room, half bath, and kitchen on the other. Both units will have exterior decks, providing occupants with abundant outdoor space and light. Parking will also be provided. 1362 Otis Place is located in Columbia Heights, three blocks north of the Tivoli Theater and less than a block from 14th Street.
3DG's architects have designed 1362 Otis Place with the aim of qualifying for LEED-certification, awarded by the US Green Building Council for buildings conforming to high standards of sustainability and efficiency. Each unit will be constructed from environmentally-conscious materials and according to environmentally-friendly practices. In redeveloping this project, our goal is to maintain 3DGs traditionally high standards of design quality while incorporating "green" building standards and materials to promote the overall beauty, efficiency and sustainability of the project.
